Job summary

Shape Precision Parts at B&A Precision is seeking a seasoned CNC milling expert to join our 5-axis-capable shop floor in Milford, CT. The role focuses on setting up and running 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills to produce precision components to tight tolerances, with emphasis on accuracy, efficiency, and quality leadership.

You will interpret engineering drawings, edit G-code on Fanuc controls, load fixtures, and validate first articles.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on CNC milling setup and operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
Deep familiarity with Fanuc controls and on-the-fly G-code edits.
Ability to program and work with positional indexers.
Sharp attention to detail, accuracy, and precision.
Willingness to collaborate on the shop floor to maintain throughput.

Responsibilities

Set up and run 3-, 4-, and 5-axis vertical CNC mills to machine precision components to spec.
Load workholding and positional indexers, confirm offsets, and validate first-article quality.
Write and edit basic CNC programs at the control using G-code on Fanuc systems.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T to ensure conformance.
Collaborate with the shop President and team to maintain quality and throughput.
