Job summary

Ace Precision in Wisconsin seeks a skilled 5-axis CNC machinist to translate sketches and specs into precise setups and production sequences. The role involves setting up and running multiple CNC mills, verifying programs, and maintaining tight tolerances on metallic parts in a high-demand environment.

You will inspect parts with bore gauges and micrometers, document process behavior with SPC charts, and address issues promptly to keep production on track. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum two years machining experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Translate sketches, work instructions, and specs into accurate setups with tolerances and order.
• Set up, adjust, and operate 5-axis CNC milling centers; verify programs before/during production.
• Spot and solve issues fast within defined limits (malfunctions, out-of-tolerance features, finish deviations).
• Run multiple machines to boost efficiency without compromising quality.
• Consistently hit exacting tolerances and finish targets on metallic parts.
• Inspect work using bore gages, rail gages, and micrometers; document behavior with SPC charts.
