Shape Precision Parts at B&A Precision is seeking a seasoned CNC milling expert to join our 5-axis-capable shop floor in Milford, CT. The role focuses on setting up and running 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills to produce precision components to tight tolerances, with emphasis on accuracy, efficiency, and quality leadership.

You will interpret engineering drawings, edit G-code on Fanuc controls, load fixtures, and validate first articles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on CNC milling setup and operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Deep familiarity with Fanuc controls and on-the-fly G-code edits.
• Ability to program and work with positional indexers.
• Sharp attention to detail, accuracy, and precision.
• Willingness to collaborate on the shop floor to maintain throughput.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run 3-, 4-, and 5-axis vertical CNC mills to machine precision components to spec.
• Load workholding and positional indexers, confirm offsets, and validate first-article quality.
• Write and edit basic CNC programs at the control using G-code on Fanuc systems.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T to ensure conformance.
• Collaborate with the shop President and team to maintain quality and throughput.
