Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Support Engineer to provide expert 3rd line SQL and database support across SQL Server, Sybase, and PostgreSQL. You will lead production support for Index platforms hosted on AWS/Azure, diagnosing complex issues and delivering long-term fixes while coordinating with business stakeholders and Full Stack Developers.

This role requires 8-10+ years in C#, .NET, backend SQL, and strong data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of experience with C#, .NET, and backend SQL.
• 8-10+ years of experience supporting database applications across SQL Server, Sybase, PostgreSQL.
• Extensive experience providing 3rd line support diagnosing, solving, and resolving complex technical issues.
• Experience with data-intensive applications handling, analyzing, and optimizing large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee day-to-day production support activities for critical systems.
• Diagnose, solve, and resolve complex technical issues beyond first/second-line support.
• Collaborate with technology teams and business users on Index lifecycle workflows and data interactions.
• Partner with the FTSE Engineering – 3rd Line Support Manager and internal/external business collaborators.
• Manage, diagnose, and resolve issues within Index Platforms using AWS cloud-native architecture.
• Deliver long-term fixes for multi-database applications and manage incident response.
