Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional database engineering experience.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2016+ with T-SQL, indexing, and always-on configurations.
• Strong PostgreSQL experience with performance tuning and backups.
• Hands-on with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases and cloud RDS/Aurora.
• Security, encryption, authentication, and compliance practices.
• Experience with multi-cloud and on-premises environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and optimize diverse database technologies in multi-cloud and on-prem environments.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions.
• Create and manage indices to improve query performance.
• Develop backup, recovery, and DR procedures and run failover drills.
• Monitor performance, analyze metrics, and perform tuning.
• Collaborate with developers to design efficient data models and schemas.
• Manage migrations, upgrades, and version control.
• Ensure security controls and encryption across platforms.
