Job summary

Yoh Life Sciences is seeking a Senior Laboratory Scientist in Philadelphia to lead 3D bioprinting and tissue engineering workflows. The role focuses on hands-on lab leadership, production of skin models and tumor micro-systems, and reliable documentation under regulated conditions.

You will manage daily experiments, mentor junior staff, and collaborate across teams to advance platform development and client projects in a growing biotech setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cell Biology, Bioengineering, Tissue Engineering, Biotechnology, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on laboratory experience in a sterile, regulated mammalian cell culture environment.
• Experience with primary human cells is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with 3D bioprinting, tissue engineering, microfluidics, or automated lab systems.
• Strong aseptic technique and experience in a regulated or quality-focused lab.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production of standardized 3-D-bioprinted human skin models and oncology micro-tumors.
• Perform human primary cell extraction and culture from fresh biopsies.
• Execute client bioassays including ADME-Tox and efficacy testing with strict aseptic technique.
• Operate and troubleshoot automated bioprinting and microfluidic equipment.
• Maintain lab records to meet GxP and quality requirements.
• Identify workflow improvements for efficiency and reproducibility.
• Develop standardized procedures and train junior staff.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on client projects and platform development.
