Job summary

Yoh Life Sciences is hiring a Senior Research Scientist in Philadelphia, PA to advance tissue engineering, 3D bioprinting, and assay development for precision medicine and preclinical programs. You will provide scientific leadership across laboratory initiatives and help establish scalable R&D capabilities for commercial client projects.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Tissue Engineering, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field; or an MS with extensive industry experience.
• 5+ years of research experience with demonstrated scientific leadership in biotech, CRO, pharma, cell therapy, or related environment.
• Strong hands-on expertise with primary human cell isolation, culture, expansion, and characterization.
• Experience with 3D bioprinting, tissue engineering, or multicellular model systems.
• Experience designing, developing, and optimizing laboratory assays, including ADME-Tox and/or efficacy assays.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation, optimization, and validation of 3D bioprinting protocols and complex cell culture methodologies.
• Support transfer of proprietary tissue engineering technologies into US lab workflows.
• Provide scientific leadership and mentorship to R&D and laboratory teams.
• Lead development and optimization of high-throughput screening campaigns and assays.
• Design and develop novel multicellular tissue models to improve physiological relevance.
• Integrate multiple cell populations into advanced tissue models.
• Develop and validate customized research workflows for client projects.
• Analyze complex datasets to evaluate model performance and biological relevance.
