The role requires Ph.D. or MS with extensive biotech experience, 5+ years in leadership, and strong capability in primary human cell culture, sequencing analyses, and loop-optimization of lab protocols. Start September 2026 with a compensation range of $100,000–$115,000.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Tissue Engineering, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, or a related discipline; alternatively an M.S. with extensive relevant industry experience.
  • 5+ years of research experience with demonstrated scientific leadership in biotech, CRO, pharma, or related environment.
  • Hands-on experience with primary human cell isolation, culture, expansion, and characterization.
  • Experience with 3D bioprinting, tissue engineering, or multicellular model systems.
  • Experience designing and optimizing laboratory assays, including ADME‑Tox and/or efficacy assays.
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills; ability to draw clear conclusions from complex datasets.
  • Experience with RNA sequencing or related molecular biology analyses.
  • Excellent scientific documentation and communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to lead projects, troubleshoot, and work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation, optimization, and validation of 3D bioprinting protocols and bio-ink technologies.
  • Support transfer of proprietary tissue engineering tech into U.S.-based lab workflows.
  • Provide scientific leadership and mentorship to R&D teams.
  • Lead development and optimization of high-throughput screening campaigns and assays.
  • Design and develop multicellular tissue models to improve physiological relevance.
  • Integrate multiple cell populations into advanced tissue models.
  • Develop and validate customized workflows for commercial client projects.
  • Analyze complex datasets to evaluate model performance and relevance.
  • Oversee RNA sequencing and genomic fidelity data analyses.
  • Troubleshoot protocols and identify efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance platform development.
  • Maintain high standards for scientific documentation and data integrity.
