Job summary

Penn State University’s Ozbolat Laboratory has multiple openings for Postdoctoral Scholars in bioprinting, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine. Successful candidates will work on NIH- and private foundation–funded projects within a multidisciplinary lab at the Millenium Science Complex, Huck Institute of Life Sciences.

The role requires a Ph.D. in a closely related field, with strong molecular biology, 2D/3D cell culture, imaging, and protein analysis skills.

Qualifications

• PhD in biomedical engineering, molecular/cellular/developmental biology, chemistry, or related field by start date.
• Strong background in molecular biology techniques and cell culture models (2D/3D).
• Experience with imaging (TEM/SEM/confocal) and protein analysis (immunohistochemistry/immunofluorescence).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to NIH- and foundation-funded projects in bioprinting and regenerative medicine.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and Penn State researchers.
• Develop and validate lab‑on‑a‑chip devices and high‑throughput tissue fabrication.
• Mentor and train students and postdocs as appropriate.
