Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with EHCP needs across partner SEND schools in Greater Manchester. You will help with learning activities, personal care where required and behaviour support in a nurturing environment.

The role offers Monday to Friday hours (8:30am–3:30pm), long-term or temp-to-perm opportunities, and starts immediatelly or from September. Rewarding career development and supportive coaching are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND in schools or similar settings.
• Experience supporting pupils with Autism, SEMH, SLD, PMLD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Calm, patient and resilient when managing challenging behaviours.
• Willing to provide personal care when required.
• Ability to follow EHCP targets, behaviour plans and support strategies.
• Have an Enhanced DBS (Update Service) or willing to obtain one.
