Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group are supporting a well-resourced SEN school in Epping to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work with pupils across primary and secondary ages. The role involves 1:1 and small group support in a range of needs, helping with communication and engagement to support learning.

You will follow EHCP targets, assist with personal care where needed, and collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to maintain a calm, structured and inclusive classroom

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Comfortable working across primary and secondary age groups.
• Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils.
• Willing to support personal care where needed.
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
• Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Following EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Assisting with personal care where required.
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Helping maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and social development.
