Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a patient and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-resourced SEN school in Brentwood, supporting pupils across primary and secondary classes. This is a full-time, long-term role with an ASAP start, focusing on 1:1 and small group support and close collaboration with teachers and SEN staff.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN such as ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach to learning and behaviour.
• Willing to support personal care where needed.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
• Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Following EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Assisting with personal care where required.
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Helping maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and social development.
