Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a patient and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-resourced SEN school in Epping, supporting primary and secondary pupils with a range of needs. The role involves 1:1 and small-group support, helping with communication, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning.

This is a full-time, long-term position starting ASAP, with ongoing consultant support and a pathway to a permanent role, while emphasising pupil wellbeing and personalised

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Comfortable working across both primary and secondary age groups.
• Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils.
• Willing to support personal care where needed.
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes
• Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning
• Following EHCP targets and individual support plans
• Assisting with personal care where required
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
• Helping maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment
• Encouraging independence, confidence and social development
