Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a patient and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of needs at a school in Epping/Ongar. The role covers both primary and secondary cohorts, with a focus on personalised support and pupil wellbeing.

You will work 1:1 or in small groups, supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning, with potential for a permanent position. DBS Update Service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Willing to support personal care where needed.
• Confident across primary and secondary age groups.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
• Support communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Follow EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Help maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
