Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is seeking a patient, caring SEN Teaching Assistant for a well-resourced school in Epping. The role is full-time and long-term with an ASAP start, supporting both primary and secondary pupils with diverse needs.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, aid communication, regulate emotions, and follow individual plans while collaborating with teachers and professionals to create a nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Comfortable working across both primary and secondary age groups.
• Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
• Supporting communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Following EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Assisting with personal care where required.
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Helping maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and social development.
