Job summary

Wolfspeed, Inc. in Marcy, NY, seeks a process-support specialist for automated semiconductor production (Thin Films).

Working a 12-hour Front End Day shift on a 3on-4off-4on-3off schedule, you will partner with Engineering to qualify new processes and tools, document DOE data and resolve non-conformances. Applicants should have an associate degree or 1 year in a technical role, clean-room experience (ISO 5), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree OR at least 1 year of experience in a technical role.
• Ability to work in ISO 5 (class 100) clean room for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex work instructions (verbal or written).
• Learn basic semiconductor physics and chemistry principles to understand process effects on manufactured product.
• MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Access experience.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Engineering to develop and qualify new processes and tool sets.
• Characterize, document and present data based on DOE.
• Report and document process issues and equipment malfunctions; take corrective action with Process Engineers & Equipment Maintenance.
• Handle material dispositions and resolve lot issues.
• Assist in creating new procedures and refining existing ones.
• Collaborate to achieve quarterly yield and cycle time goals.
