Job summary

Wolfspeed in Marcy, NY, is seeking an Equipment Engineer to join the Thin Films group. You will install, configure, and maintain semiconductor tools, drive maintenance programs, and work closely with process engineering and production to optimize tool availability and reduce costs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, understanding of semiconductor processes, and experience with AMAT Endura/Producer equipment. A Sunday-Thursday schedule and strong technical writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Understanding of semiconductor processes and equipment.
• Experience with AMAT Endura and AMAT Producer equipment desirable.
• Proficiency in technical writing and presentations.
• Able to work a Sunday-Thursday schedule.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain various semiconductor tools.
• Conduct preventative maintenance (MTBPM), tool fingerprinting, and CIPs to meet tool availability goals.
• Drive cost reduction projects.
• Create and modify procedures and maintenance specs to increase tool availability and training.
• Collaborate with process engineering and production to improve quality, scrap/rework, and costs.
• Create tool configuration documentation and assist with capacity increases or process transfers.
• Present data and project updates to peers and management.
