Job summary

SSOE Group in Austin, TX seeks a Senior Process Engineer and Office Leader to shape process utility infrastructure for advanced semiconductor facilities. You will lead design, mentorship, client engagement, and office growth within an integrated design-build environment.

Responsibilities include leading PFD-to-P&ID work, UPW and gas distribution systems, hydraulic modeling, and coordinating across disciplines while advancing AI-enabled design tools and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited program.
• PE license preferred; active in good standing in the U.S.
• 10+ years of process engineering experience in semiconductors/high-tech manufacturing.
• Proven leadership in managing process engineering design teams.
• Experience in office leadership, people management, and mentoring.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Experience leading organizational change including AI in design workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering design for large-scale semiconductor projects from PFD to P&ID and docs.
• Provide technical leadership and oversee internal project teams, ensuring quality and schedules.
• Lead design of UPW, gas, chemical distribution systems.
• Develop and oversee hydraulic calculations and system performance analyses.
• Guide integration with multidisciplinary teams for constructability.
• Perform process system modeling and pipe stress analysis.
• Lead peer reviews and QA/QC, ensure standards compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and stay updated on codes and trends.
