Job summary

SSOE Group is seeking a Process Engineer to design and deliver complex semiconductor and high-tech facility systems, with emphasis on cleanroom process piping and chemical distribution.

You will collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams, perform calculations, develop PFDs and P&IDs, and support design reviews through construction and startup. The role offers mentorship, hands-on project exposure, and opportunities to advance technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3-6 years of process engineering experience, preferably in design-build or EPC environments.
• Experience with semiconductor, cleanroom, or mission-critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop process chemical and specialty gas systems for semiconductor facilities, including cleanroom support, bulk chemical delivery, waste collection, and utility interfaces.
• Perform calculations, equipment sizing, pressure drop analyses, flow evaluations, and material compatibility reviews.
• Prepare and review PFDs, P&IDs, equipment layouts, line sizing studies, and narrative descriptions of system intent.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, structural, architectural, controls, and fire protection teams to resolve conflicts and interface issues.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and startup turnover activities.
• Review datasheets, submittals, and utility requirements for process tools and chemical storage systems.
• Apply QA/QC to engineering deliverables and maintain SADE standards.
• Conduct site walks and field verifications to confirm conditions and validate progress.
