Job summary

Mykelly is seeking Field Service / Start-Up Technicians (Levels I & II) to support installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of semiconductor equipment at customer sites in Austin, TX. This 12‑month contract involves significant travel (10%–100%).

Candidates should have hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude, read blueprints and diagrams, and be comfortable in a customer‑facing role. Pay is $30–$35/hr, W2 through Staffing Supplier, with eligibility to work in the US.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• Hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and electrical diagrams.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, service, maintenance, and repair of semiconductor equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and equipment-related issues.
• Start-ups, upgrades, and modifications as needed.
• Read and follow technical documentation and SOPs.
• Diagnose problems and replace or install components.
• Coordinate with customers and teams to minimize downtime.
• Maintain service records and reports.
• Train customer technicians on operation and basic maintenance.
• Adhere to safety procedures and customer-site requirements.
• Travel domestically to customer sites and training facilities.
