Job summary

Paycom is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair advanced semiconductor equipment at customer sites. The role requires frequent local and out-of-state travel, approximately 20–35% of the time, and offers opportunities to support startups, preventive maintenance, and service documentation.

The ideal candidate will have electronics training, strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, and customer-facing skills.

Qualifications

Experience troubleshooting electronic equipment and systems.
Strong ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics.
Proven customer-facing communication and time management skills.
Leadership or mentoring experience preferred.
Valid driving record for offsite service.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair advanced semiconductor equipment at customer sites.
Perform preventative and unscheduled maintenance, start-ups, and replacements.
Interpret operation manuals to identify root causes and document findings.
Provide technical support and escalate design issues as needed.
Train and mentor junior field technicians; coordinate service activities.
Adhere to safety policies and maintain a clean work environment.
