Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. in San Jose, CA is seeking a Field Service Engineer I - Semiconductor to support photolithography equipment customers and enable them to utilize cutting-edge technology in semiconductor manufacturing.

You will be trained to service Canon’s lithography equipment, including steppers and scanners. The role requires a HS Diploma/GED (AA/BS preferred), up to 30% travel, and proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; AA/BS preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and balance priorities.
• Customer-facing role with compliance to policies.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, calibrate and maintain semiconductor equipment.
• Monitor and prevent malfunctions; escalate when needed.
• Maintain documentation and provide periodic reports.
• Monitor stock levels for service parts and equipment.
• Provide training and assist technicians; may train customers.
• Engage in ongoing technical training to expand skills.
