Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. seeks a Field Service Engineer II for semiconductor equipment in Hillsboro, OR. You will support onsite installations, repairs, and maintenance of photolithography systems, ensuring minimal downtime in a demanding cleanroom environment.

The role requires 3+ years in semiconductor equipment, hands-on mechanical skills, and travel; Linux knowledge is a plus. A HS diploma/GED is required, with AA/BS preferred. Expect a compressed work week with potential night shifts.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
• AA or BS degree in a related field preferred, plus 1–2 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of Linux operating system helpful for operation and troubleshooting.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Hands-on mechanical skills and experience with electronic testing tools.
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team in challenging situations.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible schedules; able to lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Check and maintain equipment within factory standard specifications.
• Instruct customers in operation and maintenance of system equipment.
• Perform repair maintenance or unit replacement per factory procedures.
• Provide technical support and respond to questions to minimize downtime.
• Identify and report equipment errors and status updates for troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation of activity and provide periodic reports.
• Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot and service equipment.
