Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer I – Semiconductor in Hillsboro, OR to provide on-site installation, repair and maintenance of photolithography equipment.

This entry-level role includes training to support Canon’s semiconductor equipment (steppers and scanners) and may require night shifts and compressed work weeks. You will check equipment against standards, instruct customers, perform repairs, document activity, and travel up to 25% to customer sites or other offices.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
  • AA or BS degree in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Check and maintain equipment within factory standard specifications of system equipment.
  • Instruct customers in operation and maintenance of the system equipment.
  • Perform repair maintenance or unit replacement per factory procedures.
  • Provide technical support and respond to questions to minimize downtime.
  • Identify and report equipment error and status updates to aid troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of activity and provide periodic reports.
  • Collaborate with field technicians to troubleshoot and service equipment.
