Job summary

Veeco Instruments Inc. is seeking an experienced Equipment Technician to support the integration, testing and validation of next-generation semiconductor manufacturing platforms.

This role requires hands-on work across vacuum processing systems, robotics, RF subsystems, and gas delivery, collaborating with Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, and Quality engineers to bring concepts to customer-ready products. You will build, troubleshoot, test, and qualify complex systems through the product

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 2–4 years hands-on experience in semiconductor, vacuum, electromechanical, automation or similar complex equipment.
• Direct experience with vacuum-based semiconductor equipment and wafer/substrate processing tools.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical systems in a manufacturing, engineering or service environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, configure, and integrate advanced semiconductor equipment including vacuum, motion-control, robotics, RF subsystems, gas delivery and electromechanical assemblies.
• Support prototype, alpha, beta, and NPI builds through integration, validation and product release activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system integration, performance and reliability issues using structured RCA methods.
