Job summary

Veeco Instruments Inc. is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician III (Equipment Technician) to support development, integration, testing, and validation of next-generation semiconductor tooling.

You’ll build, troubleshoot, test, and qualify complex vacuum processing systems across the product lifecycle, working with mechanical, electrical, controls, and process engineers to deliver manufacturable customer-ready equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent and 2–4 years supporting semiconductor or related equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, configure, and integrate vacuum semiconductor equipment and subsystems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, vacuum, and automation issues.
• Support engineering tests, qualification activities, and data collection for product development.
