Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Technical Deployment Lead for the Semiconductor vertical, based remotely in Austin, TX, with 25–50% travel. You will own the delivery plan across RTL design, verification, and physical implementation, embedding with customer teams to ship production deployments and drive adoption.

You will partner with Product and Research to translate business goals into technical roadmaps, measure outcomes, and deliver high-value AI deployments at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of customer-facing technical delivery leadership.
• Deep expertise in Semiconductor workflows, including RTL design, verification, EDA tooling, and physical implementation.
• Track record of shipping AI/LLM systems in customer engagements.
• Ability to translate business outcomes into technical plans and drive multi-team execution.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical delivery plan for multiple interdependent work streams, translating objectives into a milestone roadmap.
• Run day-to-day engineering execution across OpenAI FDE and customer teams to keep progress unblocked.
• Embed with Semiconductor customer teams to land production deployments and drive adoption.
• Shape deployments that integrate with customer infrastructure and toolchains, including export-controlled environments.
• Partner with Product and Research to ensure platform components land in time for deployments.
• Codify reusable patterns and field signals to improve product and models.
