Job summary

OpenAI’s Forward Deployed Engineering team seeks a Technical Deployment Lead for the SF semiconductor footprint. You will own how complex AI-enabled deployments are scoped, built, shipped, and adopted across RTL design, verification, and physical implementation, embedding with customer teams to ensure on-time delivery.

Based in San Francisco with a 3-day hybrid schedule, you will manage end-to-end delivery, coordinate across OpenAI and customer engineers, and drive adoption while shaping product

Qualifications

• 7+ years of customer-facing technical delivery leadership.
• Deep expertise in Semiconductor workflows (RTL design, verification, EDA tooling, physical implementation).
• Experience leading large, high-stakes customer engagements involving AI.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical delivery plan across multiple interdependent work streams.
• Drive day-to-day engineering execution and protect the critical path.
• Embed with semiconductor customer teams to land deployments and drive adoption.
• Shape deployments that integrate with customers' infra and toolchains, including export-controlled environments.
• Partner with Product and Research to land components on schedule.
• Codify reusable solution patterns and field signals to improve products.
