Job summary

The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare, Twin Falls office, seeks Self-Reliance Specialists to serve a high-volume benefits environment Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm. This full-time position does not offer telework and requires passing a pre-employment drug test.

Staff assist families with SNAP, Health Care Assistance, Idaho Child Care, and cash assistance, collecting and verifying information, applying policies, and supporting eligibility determinations while maintaining accuracy and

Qualifications

Experience conducting and documenting sensitive fact-finding interviews.
Experience dealing with individuals in stressful situations and de-escalation.
Experience applying written policies and criteria to determine qualifications for services or benefits.
Experience managing a workload with conflicting priorities.
Experience entering and retrieving data using a computerized records system.

Responsibilities

Gather, verify, interpret, and act on personal information to case actions.
Develop and maintain management systems to meet mandated reporting requirements.
Perform analytical problem resolution and ensure data quality in automated systems.
