Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an Operations Manager for Self-Perform Drywall projects in Charlotte, NC. This leadership role directs drywall and related trades, driving budget, schedule, and risk management from kickoff to closeout.

The position requires at least 6 years PM experience on specialty scopes, a related bachelor’s degree, and strong knowledge of interior construction systems. You will coordinate procurement, subcontract management, and safety programs on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of related experience performing as Project Manager for specialty scopes of work.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field adds value, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of interior construction systems and project controls.
• Leadership to supervise teams and manage multiple work streams.
• Understanding of cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, budgeting and accounting principles.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and coordinate Self-Perform Operations drywall and trades projects from kickoff to closeout.
• Set up budgets, SOVs, and submittals for project start-up.
• Procure long lead materials and manage ROJ dates.
• Lead weekly production meetings and drive production improvements.
• Manage budgets and financial reporting to meet the project budget.
• Oversee QC program and safety compliance with EH&S.
