Job summary

Next 150 Construction, LLC, a Gilbane Building Company subsidiary, seeks an experienced self-perform Estimator to craft comprehensive take-offs supporting estimates and proposals. This role collaborates with Operations and Preconstruction across multiple markets in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Midwest.

Travel is occasional; location is flexible to serve various geographies. You will leverage a background in self-perform estimating across concrete, masonry, carpentry, metal framing

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Self-perform estimating background required (take-offs and estimates for concrete work).

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, drawings and site logistics plans.
• Complete accurate on-screen take-offs for permanent and temporary scopes of work.
• Interact with a variety of vendors for material and services quotes.
• Support Project Operations teams with Change Management.
• Analyze project results and develop strategies for future estimating improvement.
• Build a historical cost database based on Project Types and geography.
• Develop and track Project Estimates from Conceptual Phase through Construction Documents.
• Produce Clarifications and Qualifications to support estimates and proposals.
• Produce professional take-off documentation to support project deliverables.
• Identify indirect costs and General Condition items within estimate.
• Possess and apply knowledge of unit prices and the material/labor component.
• Establish and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Produce manpower estimates to coincide with material and equipment take-offs.
• Establish estimating protocols to drive accuracy, consistency and efficiency.
