Job summary

Gilbane Building, a leading construction firm, is looking for an experienced self-perform Estimator. This role supports estimating for various construction projects across the US. Ideal candidates have a BS/MS in engineering or management and 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities include performing accurate take-offs and collaborating with Operations and Preconstruction teams. The position offers competitive salary ranging from $85,000 to $115,000 based on experience, plus benefits including a 401(k) program.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in estimating.
• Experience with take-offs and estimates for concrete work.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications and drawings.
• Complete take-offs for permanent and temporary scopes.
• Analyze project results for estimating improvement.
• Build historical cost database.

Skills

Self-perform estimating background

Strong written and verbal skills

Team-based environment

Knowledge of Procore software

Site work software tools for take-offs

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Education

BS or MS degree in engineering or construction management

Equivalent combination of education and experience
