Job summary

Cobalt Benefits Group LLC seeks a Health Benefits Implementation Specialist with hands-on experience implementing self-funded employer health benefit plans within the health insurance or TPA industries. You will manage client implementations from kickoff to go-live and coordinate across internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of direct health insurance, TPA, or employee benefits implementation experience.
• Experience coordinating multi-department implementations with client stakeholders.
• Strong project management, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and leadership.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Own and coordinate implementation projects for new/self-funded health benefit clients from kickoff through go-live.
• Develop and maintain detailed implementation project plans, timelines, milestones, and tracking docs.
• Lead kickoff and status meetings with clients, brokers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Gather, document, and validate client requirements for benefit plan setup.
• Coordinate activities across internal teams and external partners for timely delivery.
• Identify risks, delays, and issues and drive them toward resolution.
• Manage multiple implementations and deadlines with clear ownership of deliverables.
• Communicate status, risks, decisions, and next steps to clients and internal teams.
• Coordinate requirements involving self-funded medical plans, claims, eligibility, HSAs, FSAs, COBRA, etc.
• Build strong relationships with clients, brokers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Maintain implementation docs and contribute to process improvements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
