Job summary

Food Lion is hiring for a front-end associate to deliver fast, friendly service at our New Bern store. You will greet customers, guide them through self-checkout, and support the Customer Service Manager in maintaining Front End standards.

The role emphasizes accuracy, courtesy, and a positive shopping experience for our guests. Candidates should have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with a friendly, prompt and accurate service.
• Guide customers in using Self-checkouts and hand scanners for a fast, easy checkout.
• Respond to customer inquiries and system notifications in a timely manner.
• Monitor self-checkout stations for proper use and scanning accuracy.
• Follow Front End Standard Practice and report issues to supervision as needed.
