Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Self-Checkout Ambassador for our Liberty, NC store to provide fast, friendly service and help customers use self-checkouts accurately. You will greet customers by name when possible and assist with scanning and payments while maintaining a neat checkout area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Able to meet physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Smile, greet customers, and provide friendly service.
• Assist customers with self-checkout and use of hand scanner.
• Monitor self-checkout stations for proper operation.
• Maintain neat, clean self-checkout area and assist as needed.
• Follow procedures for payments and voids at self-checkout.
• Report issues to the Customer Service Manager.
