Job summary

Food Lion in Lenoir, NC seeks a PT Self-Checkout Ambassador to deliver fast, friendly service at the front end, guide customers to open SCO registers, and support a smooth self-checkout experience.

You will maintain the area, assist with scanning, handle age verifications when needed, and follow Front End standards while wearing the Food Lion uniform. This role is based in-store in North Carolina.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Smile, greet each customer and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging with customers to create a personalized checkout experience.
• Guide customers to an open SCO register and support the SCO experience from start to finish.
• Use Mobile Attendants as needed, observing customers in service of Fast and Easy.
• Navigate customer flow and assist in using self-checkouts properly including the hand scanner.
• Respond to customer inquiries and self-checkout system notifications to ensure a hassle-free trip.
• Monitor self-checkouts for proper usage and accurate scanning of items.
