Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Front End Associate to deliver fast, friendly service at Store 02553 Front End in Carolina Beach, NC. You will greet customers, operate self-checkouts and assist with POS transactions while maintaining store standards.

Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, reliability and the ability to multitask in a busy retail environment. This role requires standing for long periods and physical stamina to lift and move products as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and use their name when possible.
• Assist customers with Self-checkouts and scanning processes.
• Maintain neat presentation of the self-checkout area and report issues.
• Follow front-end procedures and safe practices; assist as needed with payments and bagging.
• Wear Food Lion uniform and name badge; adhere to dress code.
• Complete CBT and training aids as required.
