Job summary

PALS OHIO, LLC. seeks a Self-Advocacy Coordinator to empower adults with developmental disabilities through person-centered planning, skills-building and community integration.

You will supervise and support individuals with daily living tasks, document progress, manage transportation and contribute to advocacy initiatives.

This full-time role requires teamwork, strong communication, and commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Must maintain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support adults with developmental disabilities in daily living.
• Maintain documentation for transportation, billing, and program records.
• Provide non-medical transportation as needed.
• Check van functions and schedule maintenance.
• Ensure safety equipment is operational at all times.
• Attend weekly staff meetings and contribute to a supportive work environment.
• Promote self-advocacy and empower individuals served.
• Attend monthly self-advocacy meetings and manage fundraisers.
• Maintain self-advocacy budget and monitor funds.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
