Qualifications

• Hold 48 hours of college credit or an AA degree.
• Certification as Substitute Teacher per Wyoming standards.
• Experience with students in educational or counseling settings preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite; general clerical skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student information.
• Strong problem-solving and de-escalation abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct social-emotional support to students, assisting with coping strategies and conflict resolution.
• Work with students individually or in small groups to develop social-emotional skills.
• Assist in MTSS interventions related to student well-being.
• Support teachers by reinforcing positive behavior and a safe learning environment.
• Act as first responder in crisis situations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with counselors and teachers to create student support plans.
• Support SEL initiatives and programs within the school.
• Facilitate communication between students, families and staff.
• Assist with data entry, report preparation, and document management.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with school policies.
• Provide assistance during school events, meetings, and special projects.
• Other duties as assigned to support school operations.
