Job summary

Weber School District Roy Junior High is seeking a SEL Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with behavioral needs. The role works under the SEL teacher and related service staff, providing instructional and non-instructional support across settings including general education classrooms and small groups.

The position is funded with grant or enrollment-based sources, 180-day calendar, and 5.75 hours per day.

Qualifications

• Experience in special education settings preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and participate in required trainings.

Responsibilities

• Assist SEL teacher and related staff in instructional and non-instructional activities.
• Develop, implement, and monitor intervention plans and classroom supports.
• Model positive student behavior and communicate effectively with staff.
• Collect data on student behaviors and modify instruction as needed.
• Collaborate with school teams to support student learning with minimal disruption.
• Maintain student files/records and contribute to a safe learning environment.
