Job summary

Bellingham Public Schools in Massachusetts seeks an SEL MTSS Team Member to support multi-tiered SEL and mental health initiatives across the district. This internal posting offers a stipend position (33/hour) with immediate start, aiming to pilot SEL screening and tiered interventions from K–12, in collaboration with SST/RtI processes.

The team will develop a district-wide Tier 1 SEL curriculum, coordinate screening pilots, and ensure consistency across schools.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of a Tier 1 SEL curriculum for grades K–8, including instructional practices, curricular materials, classroom integration, professional learning, and systems for gathering and incorporating feedback.
• Develop and support a comprehensive, district-wide system of tiered SEL instruction and intervention across Tiers 1, 2, and 3, ensuring consistency across schools and grade levels and establishing a clear progression of SEL competencies, skills, and concepts.
• Coordinate the planning and implementation of an SEL screening pilot for grades K–12, including evaluation and selection of screening tools, implementation logistics, data collection, and procedures for reviewing and using screening results to identify student needs.
• Develop, refine, and support implementation of Student Support Team (SST) and/or Response to Intervention (RtI) processes, including protocols for identifying student needs, developing interventions, monitoring progress, and making data-informed decisions.
• This position includes after school meetings and independent project work as needed.
