JOB GOAL: To improve student learning and well‑being by coordinating and supporting high-quality, developmentally appropriate Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) practices with a school-based placement and across elementary schools. The SEL Coordinator(s) will be building-based internal positions to support the sharing of resources, assist with alignment to the district’s SEL vision and the CASEL Competencies, and help integrate SEL into daily instruction and school culture through collaborative educator leadership.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a stipended position, in addition to regular teaching responsibilities. The position carries a 1-year stipend per the Unit A contract. Three days (19.5 hours) of additional service beyond the length of the Unit A contract is required, to be paid at the per diem rate, and to be scheduled at times mutually agreed upon. A substitute teacher will be provided during the school year, as mutually agreed upon, for related responsibilities.
