Job summary

Longmeadow Public School District is seeking an Elementary SEL Coordinator for a 1-year position at Blueberry Hill School in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. This role supplements regular teaching duties, starts immediately for Fiscal Year 2026, and includes a scheduled 19.5 hours of additional service paid at the per diem rate.

The coordinator will promote SEL alignment across elementary buildings, support MTSS, CASEL, Yale RULER, and Second Step frameworks, and help integrate SEL into daily

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Elementary or Secondary Teacher Certification required.
• Masters degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years experience teaching at elementary or middle school level.
• Knowledge of CASEL, Second Step, or Yale RULER SEL frameworks.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Current employment in the Longmeadow Public Schools.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate SEL practices across elementary schools in line with CASEL competencies.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and school leaders.
• Support district MTSS alignment and SEL integration into instruction.
• Identify, curate, and share age-appropriate SEL lessons, anchor texts, and activities.
• Glean feedback and demonstrate practical classroom applications of SEL tools.
• Analyze trends and report to School Committee and Superintendent.
