Job summary

Vylor Inc. in Fremont, IA, is seeking an Area Team Lead to oversee a production staff and coordinate resources for safe, smooth operations. You will manage line communications, material flow, and quality adherence while supporting continuous improvement.

The role requires 2 years of manufacturing experience, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; shift, overtime, and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of on-the-job experience in manufacturing, operations, production, agriculture, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with team members effectively.
• Proficient with automation and digital-based systems; proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work shiftwork, overtime, and weekends as needed to support production goals.

Responsibilities

• Communicate up and down the line to ensure accurate and complete communications with team members.
• Oversee conditioning, bagging, bulk load out, and warehousing to maximize material flow and efficiency.
• Maintain adherence to standard work, housekeeping, safety, attendance, and process safety management.
• Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with Quality Plan requirements.
• Drive forward planning to ensure workforce, equipment, and materials are ready for next order/shift.
• Assist in managing seed inventories and product movement activities.
• Support supervisors on capital projects, focused improvement events, and scheduling.
• Complete required records, documents, and reports; support continuous improvement.
