Vylor Inc. in Doniphan, NE is seeking a Production Agronomist to lead field seed production activities on-site. You’ll manage acreage planning, grower relations, and agronomic strategies to maximize yields and crop quality, while developing leadership skills and ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and a proactive, hands-on approach in a fast-paced agricultural environment with relocation support available.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in agronomy, field science, or related field.
• General seed production knowledge and sound agricultural practices.
• Strong organization, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience leading and developing high-functioning teams.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Safety-focused and willing to work longer hours during peak seasons.
• Holds a valid US driver's license.
• Willingness to obtain additional certifications for hiring location.

Responsibilities

• Oversee acreage planning, strategy, logistics, education and resource allocation for field activities.
• Coach contracted seed growers on agronomic improvement opportunities to enhance yields and seed quality.
• Keep abreast of current agronomic practices, government programs, and environmental issues related to seed production.
• Work with government certifying agencies to ensure standards are met.
• Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, safety, quality, and workforce issues.
• Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.
• Serve as a technical expert across nutrient/herbicide recommendations and IPM.
• Meet targeted yields, data collection and entry, and planning parameters.
• Establish and support performance goals aligned with business strategy.
• Sponsor projects and timelines to ensure productivity objectives.
• Promote safety and environmentally sound practices in assigned programs.
• Evaluate and analyze local competitive seed environment.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
