Job summary

Remington Seeds is seeking a Plant Operations Manager for its Ohio production facility. You will report to the Location Manager and oversee all plant activities including receiving, storage, conditioning, treatment application, packaging, re-bagging and warehousing.

You will work with the Field Operations Manager to meet quantity and quality requirements for customers. The role emphasizes safety training, staff supervision, and continuous improvement across operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with seed production.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Detail oriented and accurate.
• Ability to lead and train staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receiving, storage, conditioning, treatment, packaging, re-bagging and warehousing in the production facility.
• Ensure safety training and compliance with safety programs.
• Hire, train and supervise temporary and seasonal staff.
• Maintain Quality Management System within the facility.
• Coordinate delivery of bulk product and communicate packaging instructions.
• Maintain preventative maintenance programs and ensure equipment uptime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and inventory of parts.
