Job summary

Remington Seeds, a leader in seed production, seeks a Field Operations Manager to oversee all field activities for soybean and wheat seed production. You will work with the Location Manager to recruit growers, manage contracts, develop training, and ensure safety and cost-efficiency while meeting quality requests.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree in Agriculture preferred but not mandatory.
• Agricultural background beneficial.
• Computer skills required; advanced skills preferred.
• Understanding of seed production or minimum 4 years related experience.
• Excellent communications skills with positive attitude.
• Employee team building skills.
• Attentive to detail and accuracy.
• Well organized.

Responsibilities

• Employee safety training and compliance to safety programs.
• Hire, train, and supervise temporary & seasonal employees.
• Provide daily supervision of full-time employees in field production.
• Assist with implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System in the field production process.
• Assist and train growers on production techniques to ensure seed quality.
• Coordinate delivery of bulk seed to the facility.
• Monitor on-farm storage conditions and collect bin samples for quality analysis.
• Supervise scouting of soybean and wheat acres and provide required customer reports.
