Job summary

Vylor, based in Grimes, Iowa, seeks a Seed Handling Specialist to lead seed packaging and sortation operations. You will ensure safety, quality, and productivity while coordinating daily activities and supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Management, or equivalent.
• 3+ years in seed operations, packaging, manufacturing, warehouse ops or logistics with leadership experience.
• Hands-on with production activities, troubleshooting, and on-floor leadership.
• Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving in fast-paced settings.
• Experience using operational data/analytics for decision-making.
• Excellent communication and cross-shift collaboration.
• Commitment to safety, EHS, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Willing to work 2nd shift during peak periods and extend hours/weekends.
• Physically capable of standing, lifting in an industrial environment.
• No visa sponsorship or relocation assistance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee seed packaging and sortation with workforce planning and end-to-end process execution.
• Maintain a strong presence on the production floor; support packaging, sortation, inventory management, troubleshooting.
• Lead second shift during peak periods at Grimes site; manage seed inventory and post-sortation activities.
• Serve as SME for seed packaging and sortation equipment; drive reliability and improvements.
• Champion safety culture; ensure EHS compliance and corrective actions.
• Provide flexibility for extended hours, weekend coverage, and shift-based needs.
