Job summary

Wabash Valley Service Company is seeking a Crop Specialist to maximize profitable sales of seeds, field and crop protection products in Ridgway, IL. You will work with FS and other seed brands to meet grower needs and drive territory profitability.

The role involves developing account strategies, making cold calls, presenting field-based recommendations, and converting opportunities into orders. Requires CDL with Hazmat and experience in agricultural sales.

Qualifications

• Minimum associate's degree in agriculture, marketing or business.
• 2+ years related sales or agronomy experience.
• Valid CDL with Hazmat endorsement.
• Willing to work hours beyond normal seasonal demands.

Responsibilities

• Identify target seed market accounts and prospects in the territory.
• Develop and execute strategies to fulfill account needs with assigned products.
• Make cold calls and present field-based sales proposals.
• Ensure timely deliveries and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Train location personnel and conduct customer meetings.
• Maintain CRM records and prospecting plans.
