Job summary

Prairieland FS, Inc. is seeking an Application Specialist for Greenview, IL to apply crop protection inputs and generate field sales leads. You will work under the Location Manager/Crop Specialist, ensuring safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance in every application.

The role requires knowledge of agronomy practices and equipment operation; overtime, and occasional travel may be involved. A CDL and pesticide licenses within six months are referenced in job details.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; agronomy training a plus.
• Experience in agricultural application or related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of crop protection products and equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Mixes and applies crop inputs per rates and labels; records data.
• Maintain and repair facilities and equipment; operate sprayers, spreaders, etc.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment; calibrate for accurate rates.
• Record keeping for crop applications; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Deliver products to customers; identify sales leads.
• Manage inventory and document crop application records daily.
